As I have been gathering my thoughts for an “Opening of School” letter, I opened my newspaper this
morning (yes, I still get a paper version, which a few of you may still read) to this editorial headline: ANOTHER WAVE OF GAZA PROTESTS LIKELY. CAMPUSES GET READY. I wondered for a moment, prior to reading, to whom the editors were writing: To administrators? To faculty? To you? And, of course, the headline made me reflect on the campus turmoil many of you may have experienced last spring as campuses across the country erupted in violent protest, cancellation of classes, and, sadly, intimidation from fellow student to fellow student.
